Each year, contestants bring magnificent voices to the New Zealand Aria stage. We know, however, that putting together a performance wardrobe can be difficult and expensive.

As part of our 80th anniversary celebrations in 2026, the NZ Aria Trust is introducing a Wardrobe Pop Up Shop, giving contestants the opportunity to buy and sell good quality new and pre loved clothing and accessories.

The aim is to help contestants build a versatile performance wardrobe with pieces that look good, fit well and do not cost the earth.

We hope to make the Wardrobe Pop Up Shop an annual part of the NZ Aria, giving contestants the opportunity to buy or swap dresses, clothing and accessories as they build their performance wardrobes over time.

From performance dresses and separates to jewellery and accessories, the Wardrobe Pop Up Shop will feature a wide range of pieces for contestants to browse and purchase.

Whether you are looking for something new for the competition stage, an outfit for an audition or a few versatile additions to your performance wardrobe, there may be just the piece waiting for you.

Competitors are encouraged to bring their own performance clothing and accessories to sell or swap at the Pop Up Shop, giving other singers the opportunity to give them a new life.
